Manual Conversion Course
The RADskills Manual conversion course is a 4 hour course over 2 lessons.
We will introduce you to the clutch and friction points gear changing, hill starts, selecting the appropriate gear for cornering, braking and of course your slow speed maneuvers parking and 3 point turns.
Although we prefer to train in the Auto first, if your supervising drivers car is a manual we are happy to start your training in a manual.
RADskills believe starting a student in an Automatic gives the learner driver a better opportunity to master the complexities of modern traffic situations, before they have to worry about the gears and clutch.
In those precious early stages of driving, a student will spend 70% of there attention on the clutch and gears, and only 30% on the traffic situations. When they start in an automatic, they will spend 70% of there attention on traffic situations and 30% on driving the car.
