Complete Motorcycle Course

The Complete Motorcycle Course is a 7-8hr on road motorcycle course covering:
Bike set up; Rider position; Safety Clothing; Road craft; Understanding cautionary signs; Cornering; Braking and a supervised ride.
Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon Tea are provided.
Course is limited to 5 students only

Do you suffer from sore wrists, back pain, ever had a false neutral when changing gears or lock the rear wheel during hard braking. Has your bike ever jumped out of gear, do you feel your bike is pulling in one direction, hard to steer and just generally not feeling right. All these symptoms can be caused by poor motorcycle set up and basic motorcycle maintenance.

I have found that over half of the handling and braking faults discovered when presenting advanced motorcycle courses have been due to incorrect motorcycle set up and a lack of basic maintenance.
In the past RADskills has focused on you the rider making sure you are sitting on the bike correctly, body position and throttle control when cornering, application of the brakes etc.
All the points you would expect to be presented from a professional school.
Now we have expanded our course to include the bike your riding. By adjusting the bike to fit you correctly before we start improving your skills, we can deliver so much more.

The Complete Motorcycle Course starts at 8am with morning tea. Our experienced instructor will demonstrate the correct set up for your bike and assist you with all the adjustments, (Tools will be provided) you will then be shown basic maintenance procedures to ensure your machine is at its best every day. Then there will be a presentation on safety clothing and street strategies and how to avoid nasty little surprises.

Your next session is a supervised ride demonstrating the safe skills presented, the session will finish at Eagle on the Hill where lunch will be provided, the tools will be there should any adjustments be required.
A presentation on reading the road, corners camber radius and elevation, how they will influence the bike during cornering and what the cautionary signs are trying to tell you. Then we will focus on you the rider body position, throttle control, eye direction and timing. Finishing with choosing the correct line through a corner, entry, apex and exit points.

Our next exercise is braking, getting the most out of your brakes in an emergency when you need them. We will endeavour to remove the fear of hard braking.
The final stage of the course is a supervised ride through the Adelaide Hills. The route selected starts off with slower speeds and gentle corners, building to higher speed cornering.
There are several stops along the way where information will be exchanged between you and your instructor.
Coffee will be provided at Meadows before the ride home.
This is a full day so make sure you have plenty of rest the night before.
